Since the clashes at Chong Bok, Ubon Ratchathani Province on 28 May 2025, both sides have discussed and agreed to use existing bilateral mechanisms to resolve the issue, namely the Joint Border Commission (JBC), the Thai-Cambodian General Border Committee (GBC), and the Regional Border Committee (RBC), on the basis of good relations between Thailand and Cambodia, which resulted from the discussion between the army commanders of both sides on 29 May 2025.
